SICK IN CUSCO (30/06/09 - 04/07/09)
Finally diagnosed with Typhoid fever and on medication Liz obviously had to spend a few days in bed to recover. For some reason she did not want her picture taken while she was ill but here is a picture of our temporary travelling companions Salmonella Typhi, the bacteria responsible.
Not content with simply having Typhoid Liz was also diagnosed with an infection of the parasite Blastocystis Hominis which comes in several exciting varieties. By no means as serious as Typhoid it was perfect for making her symptoms just a little bit worse.
