Day 224 - Crossing Cook Strait, NZ

CROSSING THE COOK STRAIT FROM WELLINGTON TO PICTON AND ON TO KAIKOURA (13/08/09)

Our final day in the North Island over we caught the morning ferry over the Cook Straight to the town of Picton in the north of the South Island. The three and a half hour journey was very comfortable and we settled into our seats to watch the sea go by and play a few games of cards.

Not that we were bored or anything but Liz occupied some of her time by making a few tea bags for Adam (we bought some empty ones to use with loose leaf tea).

After quite a long drive we arrived in Kaikoura where Liz set to work in the kitchen making pizza, yum!
