OTAGO PENINSULA ( 31/08/09)
The Otago Peninsula, a thin finger of land jutting out of the mainland near the town of Dunedin. The winding road to the tip of the peninsula runs right by the sea- rather precarious considering how fast some of the locals seem to drive along these kind of roads.

The lighthouse at the end of the peninsula, also home to a colony of Royal Albatross although we didn't see any.

Sandfly Bay, not named for the prescence of the biting insects but because it is so consistently windy that there is always sand flying around.

Pristine the views may be but sometimes the reality is not so wholesome. Bon Apetit!
