Day 3 - Chichen Itza, Mexico

"Chicken Pizza"
This is how we heard an American woman teaching her children how to remember the name of Chichen Itza, the most famous of the Mayan sites in Mexico. Below is the main temple.




Above and below are the pillars which would have held up the ceiling of the ancient city.




Where is Liz?
Oh there she is!


As usual we were at the beginning of the queue, this for once worked in our favour, as a few hours later you could not see these pillars for people.




The buildings were intricately decorated mainly with snakes and jaguars.

What could be more interesting than 100´s of years old Mayan ruins?
Well maybe not for everybody...
