WHANGAREI FALLS (01/08/09)
From Waipu we drove just a short distance north to the town of Whangarei. The town is famous for its beautiful waterfalls so we decided to go and have a look. 
The forest and the running water are very picturesque and provide many good photo opportunities.

The national park surrounding the waterfalls is also very interesting and we went for a great walk in the unexpected sunshine.
As usual Liz was very excited about finding something with her own name on it. Perhaps she should be careful that people don't walk all over her!
Whilst walking we came across another fantastic waterfall which we both agreed was more attractive than the better known Whangarei Falls.
