QUITO BOTANICAL GARDENS AND VIVARIUM (06/05/09)
Since it was the first clear, sunny day we had had in Quito we visited the Botanical gardens. There were many fascinating plants including a fantastic variety of unusual orchids. We have no idea as to the names of any of them but we hope you enjoy a few of the pictures below.
We also visited the city vivarium which was home to a variety of Ecuadorian reptiles and amphibians. All the common names were in Spanish so again we can´t identify the different species. Sorry!
At last a couple of things that we can identify. Adam on the left, Liz on the right!
