Days 285-288 - Melbourne, Australia

MELBOURNE AND THE ARRIVAL OF CASSIUS (13/10/09 - 16/10/09)
Olie, proud new Dad, with 2 week old Cassius. We flew back from the north of Australia for four days especially to see him and it was worth every minute.

The new family- Olie, Cassius and Mel. Adam thinks it very amusing that Cassius was Mel-born in Melbourne.

Uncle Adam with his amazingly cool new nephew. We spent several fun days holding, feeding, changing and bathing him. By the way Cassius is sporting for this picture an alpaca wool jumper from Peru and llama slippers from Bolivia. We miss him lots already.

Liz and the boy. We were both very keen to hold him as much as possible and it gave Olie and Mel the chance of a short break too. Cassius is very well behaved- he hardly cries at all although he is a bit of a wriggler!

Experts say that at this age (about 2 weeks) any smiles that the baby might give you are simply muscle reflexes. But we don't believe that do we?
