Day 123 - Quito, Ecuador

QUITO MILITARY HOSPITAL, ECUADOR (04/05/09)

Unfortunately once again Liz had come down with a nasty stomach bug. We were informed that the cheapest and most efficient way of foreigners to get treatment is to visit the military hospital. After a wild goose chase around various desks and departments we finally managed to see a doctor. Unfortunately, through no fault of his own, he spoke no English whatsoever. Despite this we managed, in broken Spanish, to translate the symptoms and get this lengthy prescription. To our amusement afterwards we noticed that the Ecuadorian hospital staff have renamed Liz "Elizabeth British".
